These terms apply when a Shopify store installs and uses UseMate, operated by UseMate. By installing the app you agree to them.
1. The service
UseMate gives your customers an AI helper for their orders, sends after-delivery emails, and shows you the results. Features depend on your plan.
2. Plans and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly through Shopify. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the app; a cancelled plan stays active until the end of the billing period. When you go over your monthly chats, new chats go to your team instead of the AI.
3. Your content and the AI
- You own the guides, answers and settings you add, and you are responsible for them.
- The AI answers from your content. It can make mistakes, so keep your guides correct and review the chats it hands to you.
- The AI can only offer actions you turn on. Refunds are never made by the AI.
- Do not use UseMate for medical, legal or safety-critical advice.
4. Fair use
Do not use UseMate to send spam, to break the law or Shopify’s rules, or to try to access other stores’ data. We may suspend a store that does.
5. Data
We handle data as described in our Privacy Policy and Shopify’s API terms.
6. Liability
UseMate is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the last 3 months.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. We will tell you in the app or by email before important changes take effect.
